Drake cried during Kanye West's emotional performance at 'Free Larry Hoover' concert

The long-running feud between Drake and Kanye West came to an end when the two icons of hip hop put their differences aside in the name of a good cause: the ‘Free Larry Hoover’ concert.

Now, it has been revealed, that the emotion of the event was all too much for Drake who was seen crying during Kanye West’s emotionally charged performance of ‘Runaway’. The stripped-back performance caught Drizzy off-guard and saw the Toronto rapper shed a tear for his former foe.

The song is a choice moment from West’s 2010 album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy and was given extra reverence when paired with the potency of the event. The track sees West reflecting on his lost loves and failed relationships of the past and was given extra reverence when he ad-libbed lines about his estranged wife Kim Kardashian.

Never one to turn his back on love, Drake was seemingly caught up in the emotion of the song, the concert and the change of lyrics from West and was caught on camera holding back the tears.

The ‘Free Larry Hoover’ concert took place in Los Angeles earlier this month and marked a significant event in the calendar. Hoover is currently serving a life sentence for murder.

It not only provided a sincere moment of reflection for all those attached to the tragic Larry Hoover case, but the chance for two heroes of hip hop to put their differences aside for a good cause.
