Drake and 21 Savage album ‘Her Loss’ delayed after Noah Shebib illness

Drake and 21 Savage make for a mouth-watering collaboration for many fans. Sadly, those hotly anticipating the new record, Her Loss, will have to after news that producer Noah ‘40’ Shebib contracted Covid-19.

Shebib is Drake’s long-term producer and has been instrumental in the creation of Her Loss. His illness, however, has left him “resting up” and the album is expected to be delayed beyond the planned October 28th release date.

The news was announced in a social media post that read: “Our brother [Noah ‘40’ Shebib] got covid in the middle of mixing and mastering the crack… He’s resting up and we are dropping November 4th Her Loss.”

21 Savage previously appeared on Drake’s 2021 track ‘Knife Talk’ from his album Certified lover Boy and the Toronto rapper repaid the favour with an appearance on Savage and Metro Boomin’s ‘Mr Right Now’ from the Savage Mode II release.

Thus, the duo are no strangers to each other’s style. This was apparent on the seamless first single from Her Loss, ‘Jimmy Cooks’, released earlier this week to announce the impromptu album.

You can check out the video for ‘Jimmy Cooks’ below while the new release date is awaited.
