Dr. Dre and Anderson .Paak are both featuring in the new expansion pack for GTA Online: The Contract.
The latest edition of the fame arrives on December 15th. It will see the return of protagonist Franklin Clinton from GTA V, and it’s been years since fans of the video game last caught up with Clinton, who has now set up his own “celebrity solutions agency,” which provide the rich and powerful people of Vinewood with “solutions to high society problems”.
This is where Dre comes in, as his character needs help finding his mobile phone, which has unreleased music saved on it. “This could be the big break your agency needs,” Rockstar said in the announcement.
The message continues, “Get ready for a wild and hilarious ride through Los Santos, from the mean streets of Franklin’s old neighbourhood to the hottest parties in the city, from debaucherous mansions to the offices of the FIB and everywhere in between as you join Franklin, expert hacker Imani, Chop the Dog, and crew to secure Dr. Dre’s precious tracks and return them to their rightful owner.”
Last month, Snoop Dogg let the cat out of the bag and revealed that Dre was working on songs for the next Grand Theft Auto.
“He’s making great fucking music,” he said on the Rolling Stone Now podcast. “And some of his music is connected to the GTA game that’s coming out. So I think that will be the way that his music will be released, through the GTA video game.”
