Donald Trump says Kanye West is a “seriously troubled man”

Donald Trump has said that Kanye West is a “seriously troubled man”. The former president of the United States made the comments following a dinner that the pair had together in Mar-a-Lago, the Florida resort owned by Trump.

Trump shared a post on Truth Social, the anti-censorship social networking platform that he himself aided the launch of following his 2021 Twitter ban. Trump wrote, “So I help a seriously troubled man, who just happens to be black, Ye (Kanye West), who has been decimated in his business and virtually everything else, and who has always been good to me, by allowing his request for a meeting at Mar-a-Lago, alone, so that I can give him very much needed advice.”

He added, “He shows up with 3 people, two of which I didn’t know, the other a political person who I haven’t seen in years. I told him don’t run for office, a total waste of time, can’t win. Fake News went CRAZY!”

The person that Trump looks to be making reference to is Nick Fuentes, an associate of West’s from a far-right learning background. Fuentes had been spotted with West at the airport in Miami. West also later claimed that Trump had been “impressed” by Fuentes.

Both West and Trump have intentions to run for president in 2024. West joked that he had asked Trump to be his running mate for the election. He wrote on Twitter, “First time at Mar-a-Lago. Rain and traffic. Can’t believe I kept President Trump waiting. And I had on jeans. Yikes. What you guys think his response was when I asked him to be my running mate in 2024?”

He later said in a video, “Trump started basically screaming at me at the table, telling me I was gonna lose. I mean, has that ever worked for anyone in history? I’m like, hold on hold on, you’re talking about Ye.”
