Donald Trump Jr shares theory on arrest of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs
Donald Trump Jr recently shared some strange conspiracy theories about why Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs was arrested in September, and, as the son of the President-elect, it is unsurprising that he believes it was a political move.
Trump Jr floated the idea that Combs was arrested to make celebrities who may be potentially affiliated with his alleged activities would endorse Kamala Harris, who was his father’s opponent in the presidential race. The 46-year-old suggested that the case involved supporting Democrats for payment.
The Bad Boy founder was arrested in September for sex trafficking, racketeering and transportation to engage in prostitution. Following this, he was immediately detained in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Centre.
Prosecutors have accused him of allegedly threatening, abusing and coercing women and others to “fulfil his sexual desires.” Furthermore, some of the allegations suggest he allegedly forced people to engage in sexual activity referred to as “freak offs.”
Now, the President-elect’s oldest son has claimed these celebrities endorsed Harris because they were on a “Diddy party list.” On his podcast, Triggered, Trump Jr stated, “We’re seeing unprecedented amounts of pay-for-play again. Again, none of this is organic.”
He continued, “It’s a paid influencer operation. Know that. The celebrities who aren’t getting paid are probably getting paid in another way because they’re either on an Epstein list or a Diddy party list or both. We all saw that, how magically Diddy gets busted, and all of a sudden everyone’s endorsing the Democrat, just out of nowhere.”
Although there is no evidence that any of this is true, Trump Jr was insistent that this is the most likely reason. Furthermore, many of the celebrities who endorsed Kamala Harris did so before Combs was arrested.
Taylor Swift endorsed President Joe Biden in 2020, so it was understandable that this year, she encouraged fans to vote for Harris. Beyoncé, who spoke at a Harris Houston rally last week, also endorsed President Biden four years ago.
Although huge stars in the music industry, including Cardi B, Demi Lovato, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, Madonna and dozens of other big names endorsed Kamala Harris in the lead-up to the election, it is still hard to imagine that all of the individuals including new artists such as Megan Thee Stallion did it hoping they would not be affiliated with Combs.
Still, whether or not Trump Jr was doing it as a tool of promotion of his father or to denounce celebrity culture, his conspiracy theory didn’t pick up too much traction among avid followers of the case.
