Doechii refuses to apologise after backlash for dissing cats
Doechii is facing the internet’s wrath after voicing her dislike of cats.
The ‘Anxiety’ rapper took to Threads this week to reveal she’s not a fan of felines and faced backlash from users on the platform.
“People act like it’s a crime to dislike cats when they genuinely aren’t friendly animals,” she began. “They don’t wanna be domestic just leave em alone! Like it’s not organic I’m sorrryyy be fr it’s rare that cats are immediately lovey without years of pain and work put in.”
She added, “Yall be scratched and beat tf up by your own animals I can’t lmaooo.”
Threads users took to the comments to voice their thoughts on cats. One person wrote, “My old roommates bf had a cat that we would cat sit every now and then. That lil black cat acted like a dog and loved me. Maybe I only caught him on his good days but he loved him some me.”
In response, Doechii said, “Notice how you liked it because it ‘acted like a dog’ tho … resting my case here.”
In another post, someone claimed Doechii was “stating common misconceptions,” but the rapper claimed “they aren’t misconceptions” and “are most definitely true.” She added, “If i tell a cat owner to lift they arm sleeve rn they’ll be tore up.”
Another comment claimed that “maybe cats just don’t like” Doechii, to which she agreed, “It’s mutual.”
When someone else was confused about Doechii showing “pure disdain” for cats, she replied, “Ima keep it real you gettin TOO worked up over this, long as you and your cat are good that should be all that matters at the end of the day! The world will be fine if Doechii thinks cats are mean. TRUST.”
