A new Channel 4 documentary on the feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake has just been announced by the British broadcaster with production set to begin soon.

Titled Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake, the documentary will examine the feud between the two rappers and how the beef developed and received the universal acclaim it did. It will contain a detailed look at how the back-and-forth between the rappers. The synopsis says it will explore how the beef “came to be so universally acclaimed while contextualising their careers through the contemporary history and culture which created them.”

The documentary is also set to examine the accusations that Lamar made in the songs ‘Meet The Grahams’ and ‘Not Like Us’, namely that Drake is a paedophile, which are unfounded allegations that the Canadian has denied. It will be produced by Acme Films, which was also behind the 2017 picture Public Enemies: Jay-Z vs Kanye.

Shaminder Nahal from Channel 4 spoke about the documentary, highlighting what will be covered in the picture. “Public Enemies: Kendrick vs Drake is not just a biography,” she said, “It’s a cultural exploration of two of the most influential voices in modern music. This documentary will delve into the unique journeys of Kendrick and Drake, examining how their backgrounds, talents, and visions have made them global icons.”

The feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake was one of the most explosive rap beefs ever. Starting with Lamar’s feature on the Future song ‘Like That’, he and the Toronto rapper then went back and forth, hurling a variety of accusations at one another. A lot of Lamar’s allegations were damning; however, they were denied by Drake, who said that his team had fed Lamar false information to out him.

The beef continues to resonate in hip-hop, as Lamar recently revealed that he would be performing at the Super Bowl Half Time show, the community took his relatively straightforward announcement to be another jab at Drake.

“Will you be pulling up? I hope so!” The Compton rapper, standing against a backdrop of the American flag and firing footballs out of shot, said, “You know it’s only one opportunity to win a championship; no round twos. I wouldn’t want you to miss it. Meet me in New Orleans; February 9, 2025. Wear your best dressed, too, even if you’re watching from home.”

The documentary covering the rapper’s beef is currently in the works; however, we do not have any information regarding a potential release date.
