Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs believes he is a victim of “racially motivated prosecution”

Over the past few months, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has been facing many criminal accusations – leading to his arrest on September 16th for various charges: transportation to engage in prostitution, sex trafficking, and racketeering.

The slew of accusations has destroyed his legacy as one of rap’s most influential figures, but Combs remains adamant that he is innocent. The music mogul has now claimed that he is a victim of a “racially motivated prosecution.”

The rapper believes that he is being accused of these heinous crimes because he is a “successful black man.” His lawyer, Marc Agnifilo, revealed Combs’ thoughts in the new documentary The Downfall of Diddy: The Indictment, which has just been made available on Tubi.

Various women, including his long-term ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura, have accused him of violent physical and sexual abuse. One woman even claimed that he “gang raped” her with several other men when she was 17, stating that he trafficked her and used lots of drugs and alcohol to achieve his twisted aims, leaving her in intense pain.

In an indictment against Combs, prosecutors are claiming that he used his position of power to manipulate and abuse women. Combs founded Bad Boy Records in the 1990s and became one of rap’s most well-known figures. He was responsible for discovering Biggie Smalls and working with many successful artists, helping to propel their careers – including his ex, Ventura.

However, these claims suggest that his position as a well-respected, rich and powerful figure in the industry allowed him to enact – and get away with – crimes for many years. He has been accused in the indictment of “creating a criminal enterprise,” where he allowed and engaged in “sex trafficking, forced labour, kidnapping, arson, bribery and obstruction of justice.”

Agnifilo is also adamant that Combs is completely innocent, stating, “Mr Combs is a fighter. He’s going to fight this to the end. He’s innocent.” In regards to the claims made by Ventura, who Combs was caught beating in a hotel in 2016, his lawyer believes there is an explanation that involves “love,” “hurt” and “heartbreak.”

His lawyer has claimed that Combs “never participated in, witnessed, or was or is presently aware of any misconduct, sexual or otherwise, relating to plaintiff in any circumstance whatsoever.” Despite the mountain of accusations – spanning decades – Combs believes that these claims are simply “racially-motivated.”
