Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs allegedly killed a bird prior to shooting verdict
Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs is currently in a Brooklyn jail after being charged with sex trafficking, racketeering, and the creation of a criminal enterprise, which he denies. However, Shyne also appears to be a problem for the hip-hop mogul over an incident relating to his past.
The former Bad Boy signee was sentenced to ten years in prison after a shooting at Club New York in Manhattan on December 27th, 1999. A situation took place between Combs crew and Matthew ‘Scar’ Allen, resulting in bullets being fired in the nightclub and three people getting injured.
Combs was acquitted of the charges against him, while Shyne was locked up for criminal possession of a weapon, assault and reckless endangerment.
In a new Hulu documentary called The Honorable Shyne, Combs’ bodyguard at the time, Gene Deal, claims that prior to the verdict, the Bad Boy Founder’s driver took him to Central Park where he performed a bizarre ritual that involved killing a bird.
Deal said that he approached a man holding a Bible, who then prayed and put his hands on Combs. He allegedly told him to take a white bird from a cage, with the rapper then dropping it to the ground.
“When Puff got close to the guy, he just dropped down to his knees,” he said. “Next thing I see, is this smoke just going back and forth around Puff. I guess it was sage or something like that.”
He continued, “Puff took this white bird and threw it up in the air, and the bird just fell to the ground, boom, like it was a brick. I was like, ‘Oh, shit!’ … The bird died, man … the bird didn’t even move. [Diddy] just walked away from him real quick.” Combs held a bible as the verdict was read out loud that same day, which resulted him in being acquitted.
Shyne recently claimed that he thought Combs was “devil” due to the power he held over people, going as far as saying he “destroyed” his life. He also stated that, prior to the recent allegations against him, nobody would listen to him and his mother’s concerns with Combs.
In response to the initial accusations, Combs’ lawyers denied claims made by Shyne, saying in a statement last week: “Mr Combs categorically denies Mr Barrow’s [Shyne’s] allegations, including any suggestion that he orchestrated Mr Barrow to ‘take the fall’ or ‘sacrificed’ him by directing witnesses to testify against him.”
The message continues: “These claims are unequivocally false. Mr. Combs was acquitted of all charges related to the 1999 Club New York incident and has consistently maintained his innocence. He cannot accept or condone any characterization of his actions as ‘demonic’ or ‘malicious.’ Mr Combs appreciates the path Mr Barrow has pursued and wishes him continued success. It is unfortunate that Mr. Barrow has chosen to revisit these allegations. Mr. Combs trusts that responsible journalism will weigh both the established legal outcomes and Mr. Combs’ positive, longstanding support for those he has worked with.”
