Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs allegedly has groupie inmates in prison

While many would presume Sean ‘Diddy‘ Combs is having a hard time in prison, new reports suggest he’s having the opposite experience.

The Bad Boy founder is currently locked up at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn awaiting trial, which is set to begin on May 5th, 2025, but it looks like life behind bars hasn’t quite been the typical jail visit.

Journalist Touré claims that Combs’ celebrity status has gone down well in prison, with many men, described as “groupies,” fighting for the opportunity to make his bed. The information reportedly comes directly from someone who is in the unit with Puff, as told to reporter Lisa Evers.

“There are groupies among the inmates who want to do special things for Combs’ and might even get jealous of another man who gets to make his bed or do other “special,” “nice” things for Diddy,” Touré said in a TikTok video that was also posted to Instagram.

Rather than being in a cell, Combs’ is apparently in a dormitory alongside roughly 20 other people who also have highly-publicised cases. “This is not a really dangerous part of the prison. He said ‘everyone’s chilling,'” Touré explained.

Another bizarre part of the story is that Combs’ is allegedly looking fellow inmates in the eyes and telling them to “smile” in order to keep up morale.

Combs’ room was recently swept by officers, with his attorney, Marc Agnifilo, deciding to take action over the incident. Some of the seized items included notes to his lawyers about the trial, which was apparently against his rights.

“This search and seizure are in violation of Mr. Combs’ [constitutional] rights,” Agnifilo said in documents obtained by Billboard. “The targeted seizure of a pre-trial detainee’s work product and privileged materials – created in preparation for trial – is outrageous government conduct amounting to a substantive due process violation.”

He continued, “Who authorized a search of Mr. Combs’ sleeping area, personal effects and paperwork? Who made the decision to not tell Mr. Combs’ counsel that the U.S. Attorney was in possession of his notes, including ‘possibly privileged materials’ until after the government put them in a filing to keep him incarcerated?”

Combs’ has denied the charges he’s facing, which include sex trafficking, racketeering and the creation of a criminal enterprise.
