Dead rapper Goonew’s body held up at a nightclub in Washington D.C.

Late rapper Goonew’s dead body was inexplicably propped up in a nightclub in Washington D.C. on Sunday night.

The 24-year-old was shot in the car park of Prince George’s County, Maryland, on March 18th and later passed away in the hospital. His friends celebrated his life at Bliss Nightclub on Sunday evening, and he was held up on stage while people danced around him.

Bliss Nightclub has since said they were “never made aware” that Goonew’s body would be on display. In a statement, they said: “Bliss was contacted by a local funeral home to rent out our venue for Goonew’s home-going celebration.

“We sincerely apologise to all those who may be upset or offended. Please keep Goonew’s family and friends in your prayers at this difficult time. Respectfully, Bliss DC.”

Rapper Black Fortune who attended the event, told Complex it was Goonew’s (real name Markelle Morrow body and “no wax figure”, as some people had begun to believe. “As long as his mother was happy that’s all that matter,” he said.

Goonew’s family have claimed he was the victim of an armed robbery, and Prince George’s County Police is currently offering $25,000 for information leading to the perpetrator’s arrest.
