Danny Brown has shared the first two episodes of his brand new podcast, The Danny Brown Show.
Brown has had a long-held ambition to set up his own podcast, and the rapper first revealed his love for the audio medium back in 2017 during an interview with Apple Music’s Zane Lowe. “I don’t even listen to rap music anymore at this point,” he said. “Like, an album come out I’ll listen to it and I’ll like it, but… podcasts. It’s the future.”
Having a podcast now feels like a necessity in the world of celebrity, and it’s rarer for a public figure to abstain from the podcast game than having one in 2022. However, Brown is prepared to defeat the competition which stands in his way.
For his podcast, the Detroit rapper has joined the YMH Studio YouTube channel, run by stand-up comedians Tom Segura and Christina Pazsitzky, and also hosts Your Mom’s House, 2 Bears 1 Cave and Dr. Drew After Dark.
Meanwhile, Brown recently announced he was working on a full-length album with JPEGMAFIA. The announcement was first made on stage at the Smokers Club Festival in San Bernardino, California.
“So yeah, Danny Brown and JPEGMAFIA album,” Brown told the crowd after debuting their new track. “Y’all just heard the first song, coming soon. Motherfuckers get ready for Peggy and Danny, bitch. I’m out!”
