Danny Brown announces new album ‘Stardust’ and shares first single
Danny Brown has officially announced his new album. Titled Stardust, the project will be his first in two years following Quaranta.
Stardust is set to be released on November 7th via Warp Records. The album will include 14 tracks with features from Quadeca, underscores, JOHNNASCU, 8585, Frost Children, IssBrokie, Femtanyl, Nnamd, Ta Ukrainka, Zheani, and Jane Remover.
According to his label, the album reveals “a new level of vulnerability and creative clarity” and “introduces a newfound lightness – sharp, inventive and unafraid to challenge conventional production and storytelling.”
To coincide with the announcement, Brown has shared the first single, ‘Starburst’, which is produced by Holly.
On the song, he raps, “Better shape up and get them squares up out ya circle/ If all these n*ggas bosses, then tell me who the workers/ ‘Cause these n*ggas lurking, pull up like leaving hurter/ They talk about them murders ’til they ride behind them hearses.”
The Detroit rapper has also announced a North American tour, which will see him performing in Boston, Toronto, Chicago, Los Angeles, Austin, Houston, Atlanta, and many other cities.
Brown released his last album, Quaranta, in November 2023. He described it as his “most personal” album and said that “it was almost like, if I died, this is what I have to say.”
