DaBaby loses more festival slots following homophobic comments

DaBaby has been removed from more festival line-ups after Lollapalooza dropped the rapper after his on-stage homophobic outburst at Miami’s Rolling Loud festival.

Everyone from Elton John to Dua Lipa has condemned him for his disgusting comments, and now his remarks have bitten his bank balance as festivals continue to drop the rapper from his scheduled performances.

During his set, he abhorrently said: “If you didn’t show up today with HIV, AIDS, or any of them deadly sexually transmitted diseases that’ll make you die in two to three weeks, then put your cellphone lighter up.”
At another point, he proclaimed: “Fellas, if you ain’t sucking dick in the parking lot, put your cellphone lighter up!”

The Cleveland rapper was due to perform at Lollapalooza last weekend, but after he failed to deliver a video apology, the festival replaced him with Young Thug.

“Lollapalooza was founded on diversity, inclusivity, respect, and love,” the festival wrote on Twitter.

Austin City Limits, owned by the same promoters as Lollapalooza, C3 Presents, has now followed suit. They posted, “DaBaby will no longer be performing at Austin City Limits Music Festival — line-up update coming soon.”

Meanwhile, Music Midtown posted a near-identical statement. “DaBaby will no longer be performing at Midtown Music Festival. Line-up update coming soon.”

In the UK, DaBaby was due to perform at Manchester’s Parklife and Reading & Leeds, he’s no longer on the line-up for either event, but his rep claimed this was due to travel restrictions last week.
