Court hears Tory Lanez shouted “dance bitch” before shooting Megan Thee Stallion

A courtroom has heard that Tory Lanez allegedly shouted, “dance bitch” at Megan Thee Stallion before shooting her in the foot.

The alleged incident took place on July 12th, 2020, and Megan claims that she was shot multiple times by Lanez in the foot after they started arguing after leaving a pool party in the Hollywood Hills. Now, Megan’s version of events has been heard.

LAPD Detective Ryan Stogner, who spoke on behalf of Megan during the preliminary hearing, said it happened at approximately 4:30 am, and Lanez was standing on the step board of an SUV. At the same time, Meg was positioned outside of the vehicle.

Meg said that the pair had been fighting, and Lanez, who was intoxicated, instructed her to “Dance bitch!” before shooting her. The singer claimed she “immediately felt pain to her feet, observed blood, fell to the ground, and then crawled to an adjacent driveway of a residence.”

Stogner said Megan first told police that her foot had been injured from stepping on broken glass. She said this lie was because of her fear that Lanez would be killed by law enforcement with the death of George Floyd fresh in her mind. It’s also alleged that he offered her money to stay silent.

Following the conclusion of the preliminary hearing, a judge has ordered Lanez to stand trial beginning January 13th, 2022. He pleads not guilty.
