Clipse share their favourite verses on killer new album ‘Let God Sort Em Out’

Clipse have recently been celebrating rave reviews for their recent album, Let God Sort Em Out. Now, they’ve revealed their favourite verses on the killer album.

The album debuted at number four on the Billboard 200, after selling more copies than Lil Wayne’s The Carter 6. The offering ends a 15-year-long hiatus for the Virginia rap duo. The group parted ways after Malice converted to Christianity, admitting he was “really affected” by the previous life he led.

However, they reunited for the first time in almost a decade in 2019 on ‘Use This Gospel’, a track from Kanye West’s Jesus Is King album. Now, their new full-length album features the likes of John Legend, Tyler, the Creator and Kendrick Lamar, and shows them firmly back on top of their game.

Speaking to Ari Melber on MSNBC, the musicians were asked about their favourite verse on the new album. In response, they took the time to praise one another. Pusha T replied first, revealing, “My favourite verse on this album is Malice’s verse on ‘So Far Ahead’.”

On ‘So Far Ahead’, Pharrell Williams lends his vocals to the chorus to sing “They don’t know what it is when I’m on it / but once they figure it out, I don’t want it.”

During his verse, Malice raps, “Like we did the coke in the Lexus / Same hands I used to whip work / See me turn ’em both into blessings.”

Malice had a different answer. He announced, “Pusha on ‘P.O.V.,’ too much crowd in there.” During his slick verse on ‘P.O.V.’, Pusha raps, “All I see is 60-day stars and 20-year thousandaires / Not enough shoppin’, whole lot of browsingaires / My reinvention, I know you thinkin’ how’s it fair.”

Unlike their past albums, Let God Sort Em Out is entirely produced by Pharrell without the help of his Neptunes partner, Chad Hugo. The project comprises 13 tracks, including killer singles ‘Ace Trumpets’ and ‘So Be It’. As if this weren’t enough, Pusha has included a verse that disses Travis Scott on the record.
