Clipse tease another new album following ‘Let God Sort Em Out’

Pusha T and Malice recently returned as Clipse for their first album in 16 years. Following the release of Let God Sort Em Out, the duo are already teasing more new music.

Let God Sort Em Out includes 13 tracks with features from Kendrick Lamar, Nas, and Tyler, The Creator, but Clipse are already itching for more.

During a recent appearance on Effective Immediately, Push and Malice spoke about just getting started with their latest project.

“I think we just scratched the surface,” Malice said. “I think we had to get into it, get to the rapping. I got to touch on some things, and my experience with us not being together. But I think there’s so much more to talk about without just itemising some things.”

Addressing new music, Pusha said, “I would definitely like to create, whether we do it in Miami or whether we do it in Virginia, just fully. Like, I don’t wanna go to Paris and do all of that, and share time. I hit Pharrell the other day, like, ‘Hey, man.’ He on vacation. Like, ‘Come on. Let’s go.'”

When asked if another Clipse album is on the way, he said, “Man, I hope so.” Malice added, “I always feel that pressure when people ask us that. It’s like, ‘Is it me or not?'”

Let God Sort Em Out was the follow-up to their 2009 album, Til the Casket Drops. Their two previous albums, 2002’s Lord Willin‘ and 2006’s Hell Hath No Fury, are considered classic hip-hop albums.

Pharrell produced the entirety of Clipse’s new album after parting ways with his Neptunes collaborator, Chad Hugo. Until Let God Sort Em Out, The Neptunes produced all their projects.
