Cardi B has released a new single for her die-hard fans. Entitled ‘Like What (Freestyle),’ the track samples the legendary Timbaland-produced Missy Elliott song ‘She’s A Bitch’ and is Cardi’s first solo record since her 2021 single ‘Up’.

The Highbridge rhymer teased the new track on Instagram in late February, rapping, “I ain’t even got dressed / Any L that I took come after YS / Oh man, oh man, oh man, oh man.” The ‘WAP’ star released the preview following a prompt from her husband, Offset, who encouraged her to release new music.

Cardi B fans are eagerly awaiting a sophomore album from the emcee. in 2018, she released her critically acclaimed debut project, Invasion Of Privacy, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 and earned her a Grammy for ‘Best Rap Album.’

Invasion Of Privacy spawned several hits, including two diamond-certified singles: ‘Bodak Yellow’ and ‘I Like It,’ featuring J Balvin and Bad Bunny. Last year, in an interview with Vogue México y Latinoamérica, Cardi spoke about her plans to release more collaborative singles before an album, stating, “I’m going to put out my next solo single. Right now, I’m working on the cover art and ideas for the next record because it’s definitely coming up.

She concluded, “Everyone always tells me I should put the record out now. They did when I released ‘WAP’ and when I released ‘Up,’ but I always let them know I’m not going to wait long after all these singles. So stay tuned because it’s coming out very soon.”
