Cardi B once revealed her strangely normal stripper name

Cardi B gained a lot of popularity as an Instagram personality for her loud yet lovable personality and exciting escapades. Few cared that she was a stripper. Instead, they loved how funny and carefree the Bronx native was.

That said, even when she was cast for the reality TV show Love & Hip-Hop: New York, the viewing public reacted to her in exactly the same way and just loved the sheer comedy she provided by being herself. However, none of that has disappeared since becoming a successful musician. In fact, Cardi has become funnier and more relatable as she shares her journey with fans.

Recently, the emcee vowed never to drink again after a wild party in New York. However, prior to leaving the house, Cardi spoke about the dress she was wearing and unveiled some facts about the kinds of clothes she used to wear when she was stripping.

Underneath a photo of her in a short dress, the ‘Bodak Yellow’ rhymer wrote, “So let me tell ya about my little thotty dress..the dress I was gonna wear for my birthday was a little too small and there wasn’t enough fabric.”

However, Cardi wasn’t going to let that ruin her birthday night out. She detailed how she fixed the problem while also letting fans know about her days as a stripper, writing, “I got my ass in a truck and went to Staten Dolls Gentlemen’s Club where I worked at for four years and bought this little dress because baby NOTHING was gonna stop this night!”

The Invasion Of Privacy creator told fans why she loves the club, explaining that because she worked there before fame, the staff and management at the club don’t see her as Cardi B the superstar but still see her normally.

Detailing this phenomenon, Cardi told her followers, “I love the fact that they don’t see me like CARDI B.. they still treat me like CAMILLA (Fun fact.. that was my stripper name [crying-laughing emojis]).” While some fans congratulated her on her birthday, others were inquisitive to learn what her stage name as a stripper was finally. Of course, this isn’t the only time the ‘WAP’ hitmaker has reflected on her past. However, she doesn’t always receive positive feedback.

During an Instagram live broadcast in 2016, Cardi once admitted that while she was broke and getting physically abused as a stripper, she used to rob men in hotels after drugging them. However, even after receiving backlash for opening up about her life before fame, Cardi B admitted she wasn’t sorry, posting, “Why do y’all keep writing ‘Cardi drugged, whatever, robbed men,’ other crap?”

She continued, “So what? I’ll do it again, b***h. I don’t give a f**k, I don’t feel bad. I don’t feel bad for no n***as. I’ll do it the f**k again. And y’all think y’all gagging. I talk about that s**t on my album too. I don’t give a f**k.”

When the video resurfaced in 2019, Cardi spoke about her struggles before Love & Hip-Hop, detailing, “Whether or not they were poor choices at the time, I did what I had to do to survive! I never claimed to be perfect or come from a perfect world.”
