Cardi B has asked for Elon Musk's help after she was shadowbanned for posting an NSFW Tweet

The internet is currently obsessed with Janelle Monáe‘s new music video for ‘Lipstick Lover’. The clip, directed by Alan Ferguson and Monáe, features plenty of nudity, including the singer’s exposed breasts, and lots of sexually-charged scenes.

It seems that rapper Cardi B is also a big fan of the video, taking to Twitter to express her admiration. She posted a photo of a woman sucking on another’s breast, echoing the video’s celebration of queer relationships.

However, by posting the NSFW image, Cardi B found herself shadowbanned by Twitter. In a now-deleted Tweet, she explained to her 30million followers, “I’m shadowbanned cause I posted a picture of somebody getting their tittie sucked.” She added, “@elonmusk please unshadowban me. I won’t do it again,” asking the now-former Twitter CEO for help.

Musk has caused plenty of controversy since he gained ownership of the company in 2022. However, he has stepped down from his position as CEO, with Linda Yaccarino replacing him in a few weeks. Therefore, Cardi B’s request might have come at the wrong time.

Meanwhile, Monáe has posted a video of her mother reacting to the ‘Lipstick Lover’ music video, making humourous comments such as, “Well, would be nice if you had a man’s butt up there. We know y’all versatile. It’s a nice song. If people don’t get hysterical about the booty so bad, if they just listen to the lyrics in the song, you gon’ go triple.”
