Cardi B calls out postpartum body-shamers following birth

Cardi B has called out people for body-shaming following the birth of her fourth child. The Bronx rapper announced that her first child with NFL player Stefon Diggs was born last week.

Taking to X Spaces, Cardi opened up about being at home with her daughter Kulture for three months in 2018, having gone through “the worst postpartum.”

Her comments came on November 15th after she was spotted wearing a faja while briefly attending an event in New York City.

“I don’t wanna hear none of y’all bitches talking shit about, ‘Oh well, she’s so quick [to put] a faja on,’ because there’s another celebrity that y’all was just fucking violating just because y’all want them to fucking put Ozempic all over their fucking body after giving birth,” she said.

She added, “It’s so weird to me, because if a celebrity gained a little bit of weight after they give birth, y’all want them to fucking inject themselves with 300 Ozempic shots … but if there’s a girl like me that is like, ‘Oh, l’m putting my faja on’ because I wanna retract a little faster, it’s a problem, too. Y’all just have a problem with women, period.”

Cardi confirmed that she gave birth to a baby boy in a message posted to her Instagram account on November 13th.

“I brought new music and a new album to the world!” she said. “A new baby into my world, and one more reason to be the best version of me, one more reason to love me more than anything else or anyone else so I can continue giving my babies the love and life they deserve.”

The 33-year-old released her second album, Am I the Drama?, in September, debuting at number one on the Billboard 200 with 200,000 units in its first week.
