Busta Rhymes confirms new star studded album ‘BlockBusta’

Busta Rhymes has recently released a trailer for his upcoming solo album BlockBusta. For this forthcoming project, the Brooklyn artist (real name Trevor Smith) has called upon the super producers of hip-hop to produce the body of work executively.

The triple threat of Pharrell, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland will be managing the production of this album and, in conjunction, will make sure BlockBusta brings out the best of Smith.

In the trailer, Busta shows Timbaland, Pharrell and Swizz Beatz and himself on a Zoom cal,l during which Swizz Beatz proclaims, “This project right here is executive produced by the fucking committee! Pharrell the Pharaoh, Timbo the King, Swizz Beatz the student.”

In a heartfelt moment, Timbaland told Smith, “I’m so grateful that you chose me to be a part of your legacy.” After which, Pharrell added, “You really feel illuminated. This illumination is good because I think people gon’ be able to get and feel that.”

Smith has announced that BlockBusta is set to arrive on November 24th via The Conglomerate Entertainment and Epic Records. This album will be his eleventh solo album, and Timbaland has already described it as “Timeless.”.

Earlier this year, Busta Rhymes released one of the project’s singles, ‘Luxury Life’, featuring New Jersey singer and daughter of Benzino, Coi Leray. Furthermore, he released a single alongside singer BIA named ‘Beach Ball.’

Busta Rhymes was recently celebrated at the BET Awards, and honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award. Many assume this will be Smith’s last album as it has been 27 years since his debut The Coming.
