Bun B recalls armed intruder pointing gun at wife’s head

Bun B has recalled his wife having a gun pointed at her head during an invasion of their Houston home in 2019.

The perpetrator, Demonte Jackson, was sentenced to 40 years in prison in 2024 for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and engaging in organised crime using exhibiting a deadly weapon.

During his appearance on Angie Martinez IRL, Bun B went into more detail about the scary incident from six years ago.

“While I was in the bathroom, it happened,” he explained. “And I can hear the tone of my wife’s voice and I’m realising something is very wrong because my wife is scared. And my wife does not live a life of fear. I protect my wife, [she] knows she’s going to be protected.”

He added, “I could hear her saying, ‘Just take the car, just take the car.’ And I’m like, ‘My car’s paid for.’ And then I’m like, ‘Somebody’s in my house.'”

The UGK rapper admitted that he felt like he was waiting for his home to be robbed at some point.

“I knew it because of my life, where the way I move and, you know, where I am at in the community, I felt like somebody at some point might try it,” he said. “And it wasn’t until that day where it actually happened.”

Retracing his steps when the intruder entered his home, he told Martinez, “I ran out the bathroom. I went and got my gun. But what I didn’t know during that moment that whole time was my wife was trying to stall him out so I could get to the gun to come down and protect her.”

When he entered the room, he saw a gun to his wife’s head. “Her rationale in that moment was, ‘If I die, I know one, you’re going to kill him, and then two, you’re going to make sure this family is OK.’ And so, she had to come to terms with dying in that moment and what this family would be after that.”
