Boosie Badazz reveals why he chooses to appear on Vlad TV so much
Boosie Badazz is regularly in the news for the comments he makes on podcasts, especially on Vlad TV. That said, he is a rapper and musician, so many often ask why he spends so much time talking and gossiping on camera when he could be making music and performing. However, during an Instagram Live, the emcee once explained why he prioritises podcast and YouTube appearances over music.
During the broadcast, the ‘Wipe Me Down’ rhymer revealed that he makes up to $45,000 for appearances on podcasts and insisted that it is a more steady source of income than music in the current climate. Furthermore, he asserted that it’s less dangerous.
Opening up about his decision to continuously appear on podcasts, Boosie told his followers, “I can make $30-$40,000 to sit on a couch and talk. It’s way safer than the club and all them guns in the bi**h. Gotta leave the club. In front of somebody that ain’t gonna hurt me. I think y’all should be happy I’m doing podcasts.”
According to the Baton-Rouge native, his choice will most likely allow him to live longer and make more money in the long run, insisting, “I’m a live [way longer] doing podcasts or DJ Vlad. Way more less dangerous doing podcasts.”
Boosie Badazz then explained to his fans that there is a lot of money involved in doing shows, such as travel, opening acts, security and more, explaining, “Would you rather do a show for $60,000 or a podcast for $45,000? I made that decision the other day. I took the 45 over the 60. The 60, I had to pay for flights, hotels, go in a dangerous-ass city.”
The rapper again insisted that, in hip-hop’s current climate, being exposed in public is dangerous, adding, “Sh*t ’bout being careful. I can sit 45 minutes on a couch and just talk sh*t, forty-something-thousand dollars.”
Although Boosie Badazz still makes music and has a loyal fan base, he has become more famous for his appearances on YouTube and the viral clips he generates with his controversial opinions. He is known by many for his interviews with DJ Vlad, Art Of Dialogue, and other media platforms.
Boosie Badazz even fell out with T.I. last year for comments he made on Vlad TV. The For My Thugz creator spoke about the rumour that T.I. once snitched on his dead cousin to avoid prison. He said that, in his eyes, that could classify the Atlanta emcee as an informer. Furthermore, he insisted that he would no longer work with T.I. on the joint album they had planned due to the fact he was a “snitch.”
Although Boosie Badazz isn’t strictly relevant, claiming that he is “more popular” than Jay-Z in the South and suggesting that Black supporters of Trump suffer from “Slave Master Syndrome” keeps him in the cultural news cycle.
