Boosie Badazz names the greatest rapper of all time

Southern rapper Boosie Badazz is undoubtedly one of the biggest names to come out of Louisiana. Alongside other artists like Lil’ Wayne and Kevin Gates, Boosie Badazz helped grow and promote quality rap coming out of Louisiana. With his career spanning over two decades, Boosie has released over ten albums and a whopping 42 mixtapes.

That said, he most definitely has enough experience in the game to make a solid conclusion about who the greatest rapper of all time is; however, not all will agree.

Of course, it is always highly controversial when someone names their favourite rapper, as it can imply a lot about what other kinds of artists that person listens to and their overall taste (or lack of). If someone named LL Cool J their greatest rapper of all time, one would assume that person likes 1980s hip hop. Similarly, if someone named Lil Uzi Vert as their greatest rapper of all time, you would know they like mumble rap.

However, not being a part of the old or new school, it was interesting that Boosie named his greatest rapper in an interview with SOHH (Support Online Hip Hop) Magazine.

Boosie, as a Baton-Rouge native, has once already admitted that “coming up, I was a down south junkie”, effectively declaring that his taste in hip hop did (at a point) predominantly revolve around music coming from America’s southern states. However, he has also said that his first-ever concert was a DMX one.

Funnily enough, Bossie Badazz’s favourite rapper isn’t a southern or a New Yorker but the West Coast legend Tupac. He thinks Tupac left behind not just classic albums but a legacy that is so great it outshines any living rapper today.
