Detroit rapper Boldy James has been left seriously hurt following a two-car incident in his hometown.
Thankfully, according to his publicist, James is currently in a stable condition following the accident. The car crash occurred on January 9th, and the rapper was left with broken vertebrae in his neck and orthopaedic injuries.
His publicist said: “After undergoing extensive surgery on his neck, Boldy has been removed from the intensive care unit and is now in stable condition. Boldy and his family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses that are taking care of him, and also to the communities’ emergency medical personnel and first responders.”
The rapper is a close associate of legendary producer The Alchemist, who helped bring James to the attention of many with their 2020 collaborative LP, The Price of Tea In China. The pair also teamed up in 2021 on the album Bo Jackson.
Since news emerged of James’ condition, the hip-hop community has supported him with positive energy. Detroit hero Eminem posted on Twitter: “Sending out best wishes for a quick recovery for The D’s own @boldyjames!!!”
Meanwhile, Westside Gunn wrote: “I was waiting until the official statement to be released please keep my brother in y’all prayers. He’s a strong soul and fighter he’s still talking bout GXFR x 227 forever!!! Just hearing them words broke me down but GOD IS THE GREATEST and BO gonna be better than ever.”
