Bobby Shmurda claims Jay-Z is behind Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs and Meek Mill relationship rumours

While Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs is currently detained in prison facing criminal charges, there have been many unfounded stories unrelated to the case which have spread on social media. Strangely, one of the more contentious rumours, it would appear, is that Combs allegedly engaged in a sexual relationship with the Philadelphia rapper Meek Mill.

While Combs faces a wealth of allegations for heinous crimes, including sexual assault and trafficking, many hip-hop fans are focused on the idea that he might have taken part in homosexual acts with Meek Mill. These rumours first circulated following the lawsuit levelled against Diddy by producer Lil Rod, who claimed to have been sexually assaulted.

Within the filing, Lil Rod alleged that Diddy had sex with an unnamed “Philadelphia rapper who dated Nicki Minaj.” As you can imagine, it did not take long for hip-hop fans to connect the dots to Meek Mill. For his part, Mill – real name Robert Rihmeek Williams – has vehemently denied all of these claims, even offering a cash reward to anybody who could prove that he had sex with Combs.

Now, Brooklyn-based drill rapper Bobby Shmurda has weighed in on the debate, expressing his doubt over the entire situation during a recent interview with The Danza Project. During the interview, Shmurda shared, “I’ma tell you what’s going on with Meek. I left the team that Meek was on. Meek left that team. [If] you leave that team, they come for you,” suggesting there might be ulterior motives behind the claims.

Continuing, “It’s like a relationship with these labels. It’s like leaving a girl with a lot of power. She’s gonna try to make your life a living hell. She’s like, ‘We own the internets, we’re gonna spread all the rumours about you. I’m gonna pay for 3,000 comments making jokes.’” The rapper seemed to suggest that Jay-Z and Roc Nation are the ones spreading these rumours about Meek Mill and Combs.

According to the New York artist, he himself has been through a similar situation, or so he claims. “They tried to call me gay,” he said. Denying those allegations immediately, the rapper derisively said, “I fuck the most bitches ever. Like, come on, for real? I’m not even mad at them doing it; it be the n****s that believe it.”

Many figures within the hip-hop fraternity have spoken about the rumours regarding Mill and Combs, including Benzino, the former co-owner and editor-in-chief of The Source magazine.

Earlier this year, Benzino said on the We In Miami podcast: “It’s none of our fucking business if him and Meek are fucking, or not fucking. The internet makes all our business everybody’s business. At least the privacy of what we’re doin’ in our bedroom should be private.”

Has Meek Mill responded to the Diddy rumours?

Furthermore, Mill himself has previously denied the claims. Taking to X, he wrote: “I’m from Philly I don’t do coke or freaky ass molly … nobody won’t even offer me coke because I’m that heavy …. No man or watt would ever approach me about gay activity and the whole place don’t get flipped … woke up seeing this on every blog like they know I’m coming! Lol.”

Mill continued, “That’s why I always come around all these industry n*ggas with my real friends. You never catch me around anybody from the industry alone..you can’t even hold a convo without my dawgs stepping in the room it’s been that way … I can’t til yall find out I’m the illest in this shit lol.”

Regardless of the truth behind Meek Mill and Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs’ relationship – sexual or otherwise – Combs still faces a plethora of allegations and charges for his alleged crimes, which largely overshadow the rumours that he may or may not have engaged in homosexual sex at one point or another.
