Bhad Bhabie sued by American Express over unpaid credit card charges
Bhad Bhabie is facing a lawsuit from American Express. The credit card company sued the Florida rapper (real name Danielle Bregoli) on July 2nd, claiming she breached a credit agreement by failing to make payments.
The suit was filed in Los Angeles County Superior Court and seeks $674,452.40 for the unpaid credit card charges.
“Plaintiff extended credit to Defendant for purchases and/or cash advances by Defendants and/or persons acting with Defendants’ permission on the American Express account XXXX‑XXXX‑X5000 (the “Account”),” read court documents obtained by People.
“Defendant promised to repay Plaintiff for all charges, fees, and interest on the Account by paying the balance in full every month or by making monthly payments.”
American Express allege an agreement was made on April 21st, 2021, but she breached the contract by stopping payments on December 19th, 2024.
Bhabie first found fame for her appearance on the Dr. Phil talk show. She went viral after saying, “Catch me outside, how ’bout that?” She went on to find success as a rapper, signing a record deal with Atlantic Records.
Her debut mixtape, 15, was released in 2018, featuring Lil Baby, YG, Lil Yachty, Ty Dolla $ign, City Girls, and Asian Doll. The song ‘Gucci Flip Flops’ has over 283 million streams on Spotify.
Since then, Bhabie has launched a career on OnlyFans, claiming to have earned tens of millions of dollars. In June, she told Interview Magazine that the subscription service was “a good way to make a lot of money really fast.”
During an appearance on DDG’s Twitch stream, she said, “When we first started, I made a million dollars in six hours. And by the end of day it was like $4 million. Now, overall, the net on it is like $75 million. I got properties, cars, all that type of shit.”
