Beyoncé appears to confirm 2023 summer tour

Beyoncé seems to have confirmed a summer tour for 2023. The surprise news broke during WACO Theater‘s Wearable Art Gala 2022, where the singer was auctioning a concert ticket package.

Looking at photos shared by attendees, the charity lot featured the following listing: “Valued at a total of $20,000, United [Airlines] x WACO offers you a chance to see Beyoncé on her ‘Renaissance’ tour starting in the summer of 2023 at any of United’s national and international destinations around the world.”

It continued: “This prize is complete with 2 first-class international United Airlines Polaris tickets to select cities with 3-night hotel accommodations at a Marriott property. And, to one of the most sought-after musical performances of all time, 2 concert tickets to Beyoncé’s ‘Renaissance’ 2023 tour with a guided backstage tour with Miss Tina [Beyoncé’s mother]!”

As always, there are a number of conflicting reports online, but the winning bidder apparently paid between $45,000 and $50,000 for the ticket package. Though the cat is seemingly out of the bag, Beyoncé is yet to confirm the tour or even comment on it. The singer released Renaissance back in July, but we’ve not yet seen anything in the way of visuals or live performances.

Beyoncé attended the 2022 Wearable Art Gala with Jay-Z and their daughter Blue Ivy. The event took place in Santa Monica and was hosted by the singer’s mother and stepfather, the founders and co-artistic directors of WACO. The event hosted an array of famous faces, including Angela Bassett, Lupita Nyong’o, Kelly Rowland, Quinta Brunson and Michelle Williams.

The gala served as a fundraiser to support WACOs artistic and mentorship programs. It was hosted by Keke Palmer and saw a special performance by Andra Day and a musical tribute by Chloe and Halle Bailey.
