Bankroll Freddie claims he’s being cruelly punished in Mississippi prison

Arkansas rapper Bankroll Freddie has claimed that he’s being cruelly punished in prison.

The Quality Control artist is currently serving over 12 years behind bars on federal gun and drug charges.

Freddie took to Instagram over the weekend to complain about the way he’s being treated at FCI Yazoo City Low in Mississippi.

He spoke about being put in solitary confinement on a 23-and-1 lockdown for two months over a phone incident that he allegedly beat.

“Instead, because of who I am, they’ve continued to keep me here, and that’s not right,” he wrote. “Every inmate is supposed to be treated equally. I’m housed alone in a recreation cell, and I’m the only inmate being housed this way.”

He continued, “Since being back here, I’ve lost over 20 pounds. We’re not being provided proper meals because staff are stealing the food from the kitchen. The entire complex is corrupt, from correctional officers to administration. They talk to us disrespectfully, curse at us, and treat us like we’re less than human.”

Freddie went on to claim that the conditions are bad at FCI Yazoo Low I and Low II, alleging corruption.

“We need help,” he said. “What is happening here amounts to cruel and unusual punishment. I personally watched an inmate go to medical every day complaining about severe headaches and begging to be taken to the hospital. He was repeatedly ignored, and about a month later he died from a brain aneurysm.”

The 31-year-old released his last album, From Trap 2 Rap 2, in July 2022. His many charges include conspiracy to distribute marijuana, possession with intent to distribute marijuana, using a communication device to facilitate drug trafficking, and possession of a firearm in furtherance of drug trafficking.
