Baka Not Nice breaks silence on Kendrick Lamar’s ‘Not Like Us’ diss

Baka Not Nice has responded to Kendrick Lamar for the first time after he was dissed on ‘Not Like Us’, the hit record directed at Drake. On the song, K. Dot mentioned the Toronto rapper, who is signed to Drizzy’s OVO label, rapping towards the end of the first verse, “Baka got a weird case, why is he around? Certified Lover Boy? Certified paedophiles.”

Kendrick’s lyrics refer to Baka being arrested in 2014 on charges of human trafficking, assault and uttering death threats. He was accused of forcing a 22-year-old woman into prostitution, assaulting her during an argument and pushing her to the floor.

During a new interview with Hot Freestyle, Baka broke his silence on being called out by Kendrick on his track, which topped the Billboard Hot 100.

“My first initial thing was to respond and respond quickly, very efficiently and very to the point,” he began. “Because where I come from, that doesn’t happen. You can’t just call out a man and not have paperwork to back up your talks. That is ludicrous.

“Then to see, like a whole nation behind it and celebrating, like it’s a true story is unbelievable. I have a kid, Drake has a kid, you know what I mean? So making accusations like that are ridiculous and out of this world.”

Baka revealed that he received a call from Drake, who helped him cool off when frustrated with Kendrick.

“He’s like, ‘Yo, I know what you’re feeling. I know you as an individual and I know how you get down, but I’m just letting you know, don’t listen to the noise ’cause it’s noise. If you go back and look at all these people that are saying things or having anything to say, they’re not even actual real people. They’re like bots. So don’t let that bother you, bro,’” Baka recalled.
