A$AP Rocky charged with alleged A$AP Relli shooting

Rapper A$AP Rocky has been charged for allegedly shooting a gun at A$AP Mob associate and former friend, A$AP Relli on November 6th, 2021. The charges were announced by Los Angeles County District Attorney, George Gascón yesterday, August 15th in the form of two counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm.

Rocky was first arrested for the incident at Los Angeles International Airport back in April, but yesterday marked the first time he has been charged in relation to it.

“Discharging a gun in a public place is a serious offense that could have ended with tragic consequences not only for the person targeted but also for innocent bystanders visiting Hollywood,” Gascón said in a statement. “My office conducted a thorough review of the evidence in this case and determined that the addition of a special firearm allegation was warranted.”

Last week, on Wednesday, August 10th, Rolling Stone reported that Relli, real name Terell Ephron, had revealed himself to be the victim of the shooting that took place in Hollywood, Los Angeles on November 6th last year. The publication received a statement from the rapper’s attorneys, Jamal Tooson and Brian Hurwitz, and in it, they claimed that Rocky had coaxed Relli into meeting him “to discuss a disagreement between the two of them.”

“Unbeknownst to Mr. Ephron, A$AP Rocky was not just planning for a conversation and came armed with a semi-automatic handgun,” it continued. “After arriving at the location, a conversation ensued whereby without provocation, warning, or any justification, A$AP Rocky produced the handgun and intentionally fired multiple shots at Mr. Ephron.”

Added to this, Gascón’s statement reveals that Rocky allegedly fired twice at Relli. The case is currently being investigated by the Los Angeles Police Department.

A$AP Rocky’s camp are yet to comment on the matter.
