A$AP Rocky named brand ambassador for Chanel

A$AP Rocky was named the newest brand ambassador for Chanel over the weekend.

The announcement was made on November 29th, with the luxury fashion house highlighting Rocky’s “talent, curiosity, and limitless creativity” in their decision to partner with the rapper.

In a statement, artistic director Matthieu Blazy said, “Rocky is an incredible artist who puts his heart and soul into every project he’s involved in, in addition to being an incredible human being.”

He continued, “Musician, actor, father, friend… He brings so much to the table and always delivers with kindness. We are thrilled to welcome him to Chanel, and I’m thrilled to work together again.”

Rocky also reacted to the collaboration with his own statement, giving high praise to Blazy.

“Matthieu’s imagination is pushing fashion forward,” he said. “His designs feel both sensitive and strong, they’re grounded in reality but at the same time, always invite one to wonder. I’m so excited to see him at Chanel.”

The rapper was recently spotted filming a Chanel commercial with Margaret Qualley in New York City, which Rocky posted to his Instagram account on November 30th.

Rocky has been building out his acting career in 2025, starring in Spike Lee’s Highest 2 Lowest alongside Denzel Washington and If I Had Legs I’d Kick You with Rose Byrne.

However, music is still a focus. During his performance at Tyler, The Creator’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival last month, Rocky appeared to announce the release date for his long-awaited Don’t Be Dumb album.

He wore a white hoodie with numbers on the sleeve that read “01162026,” with many fans believing it translates to January 16th being the date of the album’s arrival.
