A$AP Relli makes surprising admission in A$AP Rocky gun trial

A$AP Rocky is currently in court for his gun assault trial after his former friend, A$AP Relli, claimed the rapper shot him on a street corner in Los Angeles three years ago. During his testimony on February 3rd, Relli surprisingly admitted that he was at a gun range and had fired a semi-automatic pistol two weeks before the incident took place.

Relli told jurors last week that the video of him firing the weapon on October 19th, 2021, was “probably” filmed in New Jersey and that he wasn’t in LA at the time. However, over the weekend, he reviewed his Instagram and worked out that the video was from the Los Angeles Gun Club.

According to Rolling Stone, he claimed he was visiting Southern California for business but returned to the East Coast before travelling back to Los Angeles in the days leading up to his November 6th, 2021, incident with Rocky.

The ‘Praise the Lord (Da Shine)’ artist has built his defence around the claim that he was only carrying a starter pistol the night of the incident and that Relli “planted” two 9mm shell casings when he returned to the scene after police initially found nothing.

Defence lawyer Joe Tacopina questioned why Relli decided to go back and review his archive, to which he said he did his “homework.” He then accused Tacopina of being “slick” and “sneaky” before being ordered to stop throwing “insults.”

Rocky has pled not guilty in the trial, rejecting a plea deal that involved three years probation, a seven-year suspended prison sentence and 180 days in county jail. At the start of the trial, Tacopina said, “From our side, we have no interest in a settlement. My client has indicated he’s not willing to take anything. But obviously, I will listen to anything, any offer. And I have an obligation and a duty to relay it to my client, which I will do.”

He continued, “He’s eager to tell his story. He would love the opportunity to do so. He’s a good human being and that would come out if he testifies. But that’s a decision that has not been made yet. It depends how the case goes.”

The lawsuit continues.
