Armani White arrested in Kentucky over highway incident

Armani White was arrested on October 12th. The Philadelphia rapper was charged with disorderly conduct in the second degree and stopping, standing, or parking on a limited-access highway.

White (real name Enoch Tolbert) is best known for his hit single ‘Billie Eilish’, which boasts 436 million Spotify streams and reached number 58 on the Billboard Hot 100.

According to TMZ, the incident took place on Interstate Highway 75 in Laurel County, Kentucky. The London Police Department responded to reports of a man jumping onto the middle concrete barrier and dancing.

The 29-year-old was booked into the Laurel County Correctional Center and has since been released from custody. At the time of his arrest, he was reportedly filming a music video.

The rapper signed to Def Jam in 2022 following the success of ‘Billie Eilish’, which was inspired by some thoughts while sitting on the toilet.

“I was sitting on the toilet one day. True story,” he told Mixtape Madness. “I had a flashback to when we had ran into Billie Eilish at ACL a couple of years back. We didn’t get to actually meet so to speak, but there was a tweet that I was looking at on the toilet.”

He continued, “The tweet was like, ‘I’m not a fan of Billie Eilish, but I love her because she dresses like the franchise boys,’ and I was like, ‘Oh shit, that’s hilarious.’ So I just started coming up with that cadence around just like the idea of, ‘I’m stylish, glocked up big T-shirt Billie Eilish.'”

White released his Road to Casablanco project in 2023, with features from Ludacris, Busta Rhymes, NORE, Denzel Curry, A$AP Ferg, Fivio Foreign, Fridayy, and others.
