Akademiks claims Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy have ended beef

Podcaster DJ Akademiks has claimed that Lil Durk and NBA YoungBoy have quelled their long beef.

The host of Off the Record made the announcement during his live stream on Wednesday (May 3rd), which came during a conversation with another user. “That beef is squashed. You ain’t hear?” he said. “I’m serious. Durk and YoungBoy don’t have beef no more.” Presently, neither rapper has responded to Akademiks’ claim, although Durk did like a Tweet from a YoungBoy fan account that reported on it.

Recently, it has been reported that Durk and YoungBoy have experienced a detente in relations. This came after tensions peaked last February when Durk slammed YoungBoy in ‘AHHH HA.’ In return, YoungBoy released ‘I Hate YoungBoy’, a diss track that included jibes at Durk’s then-fiancée, India Royale.

“Why you drop that wack-ass song? P***y b***h, you shoulda known,” YoungBoy rapped. He also responded to Durk’s shot at his ex-girlfriend Jania Meshell: “B***h, don’t bring my baby momma up, she richer than your n****s.”

It has been said that their quarrel started with King Von’s 2020 death. Allegedly, Von was killed by an associate of Quando Rondo, a signee on YoungBoy’s Never Broke Again label. Despite this, in a recent interview, YoungBoy claimed he has changed after being introduced to Mormonism while on house arrest and expressed regret at his past violent music.
