Adidas suing Kanye West for $250 million

Earlier this month, Chicago producer and designer Kanye West claimed that sportswear company Adidas was suing him for $4billion. However, following his yeezy.com commercial during the Superbowl, he has now clarified that the lawsuit is for $250million.

The company were forced to cut ties with the rapper after employees accused West of “toxic and chaotic” behaviour in the workplace, and a video of West showing a porn film to Adidas executives got leaked online. He was also pushed out for his anti-semitic tirade.

Last year, West posted an apology to the Jewish community on Instagram in Hebrew, reading, “I sincerely apologize to the Jewish community for any unintended outburst caused by my words or actions. It was not my intention to hurt or demean, and I deeply regret any pain I may have caused.”

However, he has now come back blasting Adidas for selling poor-quality, fake models of his signature Yeezy sneaker. Taking to Instagram, West uploaded a video, stating, “Let me explain really clearly to you guys what’s happening with Adidas. Not only are they putting out fake colourways that are not approved, they’re suing me for $250 million.”

He continued, “They’re also not paying me for these shoes that they’re putting out that have my name on it. They’re using contract clauses and 50 years of business experience to rape an artist, one of y’all favourite artists, right in front of y’all in broad daylight.”

In a separate post, West uploaded a screenshot of the Yeezys featured on the Adidas website, claiming that anybody who respects him would never purchase Adidas’ models, writing, “Anybody who loves Ye would not buy these fake Yeezys I never made these colourways I’m not getting paid off of them, and Adidas is suing me.”

The Graduation creator concluded, “All these celebrities and the public will stand against a T-shirt or the colour of my hat, but when y’all see me have my children hidden from me or see an actual Fortune 500 company rape one of your heroes in real life, don’t nobody say nothing or do nothing.”
