A$AP Rocky and Rihanna to name their next child after lawyer

A$AP Rocky was recently acquitted of two felony charges and avoided potentially serving a 24-year prison sentence. Furthermore, his wife, Rihanna, is also relieved that her husband will be able to help her raise their two children. As a result, the couple have recently unveiled that they plan to name their third child after the defence attorney who helped Rocky get a not-guilty verdict.

The renowned Joe Tacopina, who has previously represented people such as Donald Trump, is an esteemed legal professional. In an interview following the A$AP Rocky trial, the attorney unveiled that the Long.Live.A$AP creator told him he plans on naming his third child Joe.

Speaking with Extra on February 19th, Tacopina disclosed, “They grabbed me, and they said, ‘Listen, our next baby is A$AP Joe.'” The attorney admitted his response to the emcee was cheeky as he allegedly immediately replied, “I’m gonna hold you to that.”

The 58-year-old also recalled some moments from the courtroom and reflected on the sentimental moment he had with A$AP Rocky before the verdict was read out. According to Tacopina, the ‘L$D’ rhymer thought he would end up behind bars and thanked him for his efforts.

Remembering the tense moment before the judge confirmed the verdict, Tacopina unveiled, “He grabbed me, and he said, ‘Joe, I just want you to know, I know how hard you fought here. I know everything you’ve done, and I just appreciate you so much. We’re in this together, no matter what, and I love you.'”

Tacopina added, “That’s something that is rare. It’s obviously a very serious moment for him, and he has the wherewithal and the thought to think, ‘Let me thank this guy.’ It was special that he did that. He didn’t know if he was going to go home and see his two babies that night or start a decade-long prison sentence literally that day.”

Following his acquittal Rocky made a profound, heartfelt speech outside of the courthouse, beginning, “Thank God first. You gotta thank God first. And I really wanna thank the jury for making the right decision.”

He continued, “I’m just so thankful. This is crazy right now. This whole experience has been crazy for the past four years, but I’m thankful nonetheless. We blessed to be here right now, to be a free man talking to y’all. All praise be to God.” Rihanna also took to social media to celebrate the rapper being found not guilty, writing, “The glory belongs to God and God alone! Thankful, humbled by his mercy.”

Rocky was accused of shooting former friend and A$AP Mob member A$AP Relli after an incident in November 2021, for which he was arrested and charged of assault with a semiautomatic firearm. If found guilty on all charges he would have faced over two decades behind bars.
