Beyoncé to appear on a new track with Ronald Isley

Beyoncé has been the centre of a lot of controversies recently. From the accusations that she was disingenuously appropriating house music to her apparent theft of Kelis’ music without permission and use of the word “Sp*zz” in her single ‘Heated’ on her latest album Rennaissance, the queen Bey has undoubtedly been through the wringer recently.

However, having prevailed, with all of the controversies firmly in the past, she is now set to appear on a new track with Ronald Isley of the legendary funk and soul trio, the Isley Brothers.

The Isley Brothers have been out of action for a long time, and with the death of one of the brothers (Rudolph Isley) affecting the group’s dynamics, most would have said that their time is up for the band. However, Ronald and Ernie Isley are far from finished. With Ernie still touring and Ronald still releasing music, the Isley’s are far from finished. In fact, Ronald is just beginning as his collaboration with Beyoncé gets ready for its release.

The Houston singer is featuring on an updated re-release of the Isley Brothers’ 1975 hit song ‘Make Me Say It Again Girl’. The collaboration was, in fact, announced last year by Kandy Isley (wife to Ronald Isley).

The announcement by Kandy came shortly after legendary rapper Snoop Dogg appeared on Ronald Isley’s ‘Friends and Family’ single last year.

Having Beyoncé on this new track will surely thrust the Isley Brother’s song into the limelight. With Rennaissance just going number one in the US, UK, Canada, France, Ireland, Australia and multiple other countries, this Beyoncé feature may even have the song hitting the charts, fingers crossed.

For now, all curious fans can do is wait for its release but in the meantime, you can hear a teaser in the video below.
