50 Cent reveals he is working with Dr. Dre on new album

50 Cent has provided several details about the new album he is gearing up for the release of later this year; amongst them is Dr. Dre, who will be contributing to the tracks.

In a recent inter with Big Boy’s Neighbourhood, the legendary rapper was asked about one of his Instagram posts that announces several of his new projects, including a new album, a new TV show and a new film. He responded by explaining that Dre and Eminem had reached out to him as soon as he had shared the news.

He said, “As soon as I said that, I got a text from [Eminem] that he had already spoke to Dre, and that Dre is in there, and he got some crazy stuff for me to go hear. This is my process: I’ll go make something, what I can find, the best music that I can put my hands on. And when I feel real good about it, I bring it to put pressure on Dre to offer me something. ‘Cause he’ll have something… He’s always had something.”

50 Cent then claimed that there had been previous instances where Dre had given up beats that he had originally planned to use for himself so that the G-Unit boss could use them instead. In addition to the new music, 50 Cent revealed that he is currently working on an 8 Mile TV series to further advance Eminem’s “legacy”.

“We in motion,” he said about the project. “It’s gonna be big. I’m working. I ain’t got no duds. I’m batting 100… I think it should be there for [Eminem’s] legacy because it’s important to me that they understand it.” However, some of the cast members of the original film don’t sound so keen on the prospective TV series, such as Mekhi Phifer, who recently said, “Sometimes it’s just best to leave it alone. Once you make it a classic, no reason to fool around with it.”
