50 Cent reveals the end of 'Power Book II: Ghost'

Rapper-turned-media mogul 50 Cent (real name Curtis Jackson) has recently revealed that his Power franchise will be coming to its conclusion as he focuses on writing and developing a spin-off show.

On March 14th, the Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ creator took to Instagram to post a trailer for the next season of Power Book II: Ghost. As well as uploading the trailer, the emcee noted that the upcoming season will be the last.

Writing a caption underneath the video, Jackson wrote, “Brace yourself for the final chapter.” The final chapter will be divided into two parts, with the first hitting Starz on June 7th and the second on September 6th.

Jackson even detailed more about the spin-off, which is still in development, unveiling that it will focus more on the show’s leading characters. Revealing there is another show in the pipeline, Jackson commented, “You asked, I answered. Young Ghost and Tommy coming your way. Power Origins now in development.”

It is still unclear whether the actors renowned Power actors Omari Hardwick and Joseph Sikora will be involved in the upcoming project. Fans were already aware that the series would be pivoting as Starz network CEO Jeff Hirsch gave a speech at the 2024 Deutsche Bank media conference.

During the speech, Hirsch proclaimed, “When seasons go from one to two to three to four [seasons], three to four is where the cost really pops because most of the actors get bigger raises, and you have to really manage that.”

He continued, “So, you have to have in your portfolio of development shows that can actually replace shows as they get into later seasons.” In 2023, Jackson opened a studio in the Louisiana city of Shreveport for his production company G-Unit Film & TV.

Taking to Instagram, Jackson wrote, “All roads lead to Shreveport, this is a game changer. Mayor Tom Arceneaux is one of the smartest guys I ever met in my life. Watch how many jobs are created as result of this.”
