50 Cent mocks Rick Ross over low album sales
50 Cent has made fun of Rick Ross over his projected album sales.
Rozay released his latest album, Set in Stone, on July 17th, marking his first project in five years following Richer Than I Ever Been.
Reports surfaced this week that the album will debut outside the top 20 with under 26,000 units in its first week.
50 came across the alleged numbers and took to social media to mock his longtime rival while referencing his Wingstop franchises.
“So when your tickets don’t sell and your album don’t sell what do ya do?” he wrote on Instagram. “Promote car shows and sell chicken wings. LOL.”
The G-Unit rapper then posted a clip of Ross from a recent interview, in which he says, “My album is gonna most definitely be a bomb. It’s gonna be a bomb.”
In response, he clowned the projections further, writing, “That shit was a firecracker. Only friends and family got it ! LOL.”
50 and Ross have been beefing for many years, stemming from issues that began in the late 2000s. Just last year, Rozay brought up 50’s dead mother in response to a diss about opening for Bow Wow.
“50, boy, I see you struggling making that G-Unit film studio out there in Louisiana where that cheapest land at,” he said in a video. “You thought you was gon’ be able to do it. You thought you was gon’ be able to get them loans.”
He continued, “What’s wrong? What’s taking so long? I know you wanna make your mama one of them walking stars they put down there. Fuck how your mama live, n*gga, make her her own whole walking star.”
