50 Cent hits out at Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs over video of apparent assault on ex-girlfriend

Curtis Jackson, who is known as 50 Cent, was among the rappers who lead the calls of condemnation against Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs after footage emerged appearing to show him assaulting his ex-girlfriend, Cassie Ventura.

The footage dates back to 2016 and shows a man in a towel running through the hallways of a hotel. He then comes across a woman who he punches from behind, throws to the floor, and then repeatedly kicks. CNN, who first released the footage, claimed the persons shown were Combs and Ventura.

Following the release of the video, 50 Cent was among the first to hit out at Combs. He publicly commented: “Now I’m sure puffy didn’t do it, he is innocent this proves nothing! This is what his lawyers are gonna say. God help us all.“

In the past, 50 Cent has made similar remarks, claiming that Combs is “crazy“ and alleging that he has “put his hands on“ multiple women over the years.

CNN commented: “The footage, compiled from multiple camera angles dated March 5, 2016, appears to show the rapper, producer and business mogul during an incident that, according to Ventura’s complaint, occurred at the now-closed InterContinental Hotel in Century City, Los Angeles.“

Ventura, who is currently 37, 11 years younger than Combs, sought legal advice over the matter and her attorney, Douglas H Wigdor, claimed: “The gut-wrenching video has only further confirmed the disturbing and predatory behaviour of Mr Combs.“

Meanwhile, Combs continues to deny the allegations that first came to light in 2023. The case presently remains active. Further updates are expected in the coming days.
