50 Cent apologises to Megan Thee Stallion over Tory Lanez meme

50 Cent has offered an apology to Megan Thee Stallion, saying that it was not right for him to share a meme that suggested that she was lying about Tory Lanez shooting her. Just before the trial surrounding Lanez and Stallion came to a conclusion, 50 shared a post in which Stallion was transformed into Jussie Smollet, who lied about being the victim of hate crime in 2019.

The caption shared with the meme read, “Damn I’m confused [by] all this shit going around. I don’t know what to think. LOL.” However, it looks now like the G-Unit boss has reassessed the situation and wants to make amendments to Stallion.

He said in an interview with Big Boy TV, “I’m gonna apologise to Megan Thee Stallion. I said some things when she was with Gayle [King], and [King] said, ‘Were you intimate with Tory Lanez?’ And she said, ‘What? No.’ And I was like, ‘Ah, she[‘s] lying.'”

He added, “At that point, I knew she was lying; there wouldn’t be [any] reason for them to be around each other. From that, it felt like she was lying to me. You know what I’m saying? So I was like, little things would pop up, and I wasn’t being supportive of her at that point.”

In other news regarding the Tory Lanez and Megan Thee Stallion incident, Lanez had hired new lawyers in order to go after a new trial. He has now hired the acclaimed defence lawyer, David Kenner, who successfully defended Snoop Dogg on a murder trial in 1996.

Discussing the protective order preventing Lanez from discussing the case, Kenner said, “I would suggest to the court that the way the (protective order) was written, it’s a prior restraint on free speech. I think it’s inappropriate for Mr. Peterson [Lanez] to be put in a position where he’s stopped from using his voice.”
