50 Cent announces $100 million entertainment venue in New York City

50 Cent is launching an entertainment venue in Times Square worth $100 million.

The G-Unit rapper’s empire is continuing to grow, with the announcement of a mega deal in the heart of Manhattan, New York City.

According to TMZ, 50 has linked up with Planet Hollywood boss Robert Earl to launch PH Live, described as a “next-level entertainment hub.”

PH Live will take over Planet Hollywood’s NYC location and is said to be a “full-blown celebrity magnet.” They intend to host pop-up concerts, movie premieres, high-end private parties, and major cultural events.

In a statement, 50 said, “This is about creating the ultimate entertainment destination. Planet Hollywood has always been connected to pop culture, and PH Live takes that energy to the next level a place where music, film, sports and nightlife collide.”

Earl added, “Curtis has an incredible ability to bring culture, entertainment and audiences together. With his global influence and creative vision, PH Live will usher Planet Hollywood into a new era of immersive entertainment.”

The venue will boast LED technology to be used with celebrity pop-up music performances, film and television premiere parties, live sporting event simulcasts, and album launch celebrations.

The restaurant will display memorabilia from 50’s movie and TV career, while serving sweet chilli shrimp, steak with mac and cheese, and a signature burger with secret sauce.

50 also took to Instagram to confirm the news, writing, “When I get quiet I’m working, I’m working on it. PH live baby!” At some point, PH Live is expected to move into other locations across the US, including Louisiana.

Planet Hollywood, inspired by the portrayal of Hollywood, was founded in 1991. It was launched with the support of Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Sylvester Stallone, and Demi Moore.
