2 Chainz finds late father's stash of secret money

2 Chainz (real name Tauheed K. Epps) has shared his surprise with his fans after discovering a wad of money left behind by his late father.

Sadly, Epps’ father died in 2012 just as his son was establishing himself in the rap game. Since his death, 2 Chainz has paid homage to him many times including an Instagram post on the 10th anniversary of his passing last year. He wrote: “My dad died ten years ago today. Still be thinking about him too. You know if you lost a parent that shit don’t never get old. You go big, though.”

Meanwhile during an interview with XXL, Epps opened up about his father’s lifestyle. He recalled: “My daddy sold bricks and he sold weed. My mama’s mama, she was a bootleg lady. My mama was into real estate when I was young. My daddy never had a job.

“I never remember him getting up early. I never remember him complaining about being in traffic from coming home late from work. I don’t remember none of that. I remember Cadillacs and I remember my uncle having plenty of jewelry.”

Now, Chainz has discovered a secret stash left behind by his father from his business ventures. “Quick story,” he said in the video. “I had a busted pipe in the basement. They fixed my basement and they found…I guess this is my pop’s old stash of cash.” He captioned the post: “RIP POPS.”
